Burnside Resort - "This photograph was taken at the famous former Charles & Lillian Brown's Hotel in Loch Sheldrake, New York. The hotel declined and eventually closed following bankruptcy. It was sold at a foreclosure auction and redeveloped into the Grandview Palace condominiums. In the spring of 2012, the main building caught fire in the middle of the night, leaving a majority of the property in ruins. The photo I took showed the former pool among ruins and overgrowth. I decided to take advantage of a photo that had no date but must have been taken over 30 years ago of hotel guests surrounding the once lively pool area. Using Photoshop, I was able to combine the images to create 'Burnside Resort.' An image of what once was and what is today. A fading memory."
Stoop Kid - "This photograph was taken in a fully abandoned neighborhood. The idea was to portray a kind of purgatory like setting/state of mind. This multiplicity photograph was created by layering multiple images in Photoshop."
